FCCenviro strengthens its presence in Florida with a new contract in New Smyrna Beach (USA)
- The agreement consolidates the company’s presence in Volusia County and represents an order book value worth $88 million.

FCC Environmental Services, subsidiary of FCCenviro and one of the largest comprehensive waste management and recycling companies in the United States, continues to strengthen its position in the country with the award of the municipal solid waste collection contract for the city of New Smyrna Beach (Florida). The contract represents an order book value worth approximately $88 million (€77.2 million) with an initial term of 10 years and one optional 10-year extension, and further consolidates the company’s presence in Volusia County, where it already provides services to other neighboring communities.
The new service will commence on 1st October and will involve over 40 professionals and a fleet of 20 new vehicles, as well as the introduction of new bins and containers for households and businesses. The contract covers the collection of household waste and pruning waste from residents, as well as collections from commercial customers. Residential customers will receive two weekly solid waste collection days and one weekly pruning waste collection day, while commercial customers will receive solid waste collection services tailored to their business needs.
