Waste-to-Energy
Waste-to-energy transforms non-recyclable materials into a sustainable, local source of energy, generating electricity, steam or hot water for domestic and industrial applications, thereby reducing environmental impact and harnessing its energy potential.
With extensive experience spanning more than 50 years in Spain, Austria, the United Kingdom and the United States, FCCenviro considers waste-to-energy as a strategic activity that is crucial to achieving the goal of reducing non-recyclable material in sanitary landfills to 10% by 2035.
Today, FCCenviro has 16 energy recovery projects underway, with a combined capacity of 5.4 million tonnes per year and 556 MWe of electricity production.
